  • Put a bid to manage Cowley Road Carnival 2010. The bid proposed measures to increase the audience, number of activities and stalls, introduce new income streams and minimise the cost of the carnival. Cowley Road Carnival letter highlighted by The Oxford Times can be viewed here.
  • Initiated and managed the Bournemouth World Food and Music Festival 2008, involving 70 performing artists, service providers, stalls and groups taking part in the parade. The two day event attracted an audience of 40,000. As project manager, developed the concept, mobilized participating organisations, set and managed the budget, spearheaded the sponsorship, marketing and PR campaigns, managed the activities of service providers and prepared a risk assessment for the event. Sponsors included Bournemouth Borough Council, J P Morgan and Transdev UK.
  • Initiated and managed the Winton carnival 2006, involving 67 participating organisations. It was the first in that part of the borough and the biggest event of its kind in Bournemouth in terms of audience, 15,000 at the carnival site and 12,000 spectators of the parade. Sponsors included Unlimited, Bournemouth Borough Council, The Community Foundation, Awards for All, Ellis Jones Solicitors and STS Communications.
  • Prepared press releases and media management services for the Cowley Road Carnival, Oxford Water Festival, Bournemouth Literary Festival, Boscombe Arts Festival, Winton Carnival and Bournemouth World Food and Music Festival.
  • At By Design, provided outlet through regular exhibitions for local artists, also provided media management services such as press releases, arranging interviews with broadcast media such as BBC Solent.
  • Created and managed www.logafrica.com one of the most extensive database of companies, organisations and governments relating to travel, transport and communications in Africa;
  • Writer for various publications, including West Africa, ProFarmer America, Agra Europe and the Fresh Produce Journal magazines. European correspondent for ProFarmer America.
  • Two papers written (and cited in 40 other websites) on conferences in Oxford and London were used as reference documents in negotiations between the European Union and African and Caribbean countries and can be found here and here.
  • Managed the NFU campaign promoting consumption of British vegetables, this national campaign involved the Horticultural Development Council, Tesco stores Plc and the National Childbirth Trust.
  • Writer for ProFarmer America, Agra Europe and the Fresh Produce Journal magazines. European correspondent for ProFarmer America.
